Ludwig ‘Luti’ Frans was born and raised on Bonaire. He was 14 when he went at sea to work on the local tug boats. That launched a life-long career in the marine trades. He is currently the owner of ABC Marine. Luti’s father, Balentine Frans, served as a deckhand on Stormvogel in the early 1950s.

The Craane family has been building boats in the Caribbean for centuries. In fact, Johnny's relative, Etche Craane, was the shipwright for Stormvogel in 1951. He now continues the family's work on saving the historic boat for future generations.

Alex was born and raised in the UK, but after completing her degree she decided to see some of the world; she never looked back! After five years of moving around, she settled in Bonaire in 2013 to make the most of the shore diving and pursue her passion for underwater filming. She now divides her free time between exploring the sea and renovating her house and garden.

Born in Amsterdam in 1946 and moved to Curaçao in the same year. Lived in Curaçao and Sint Maarten and briefly in Holland. Studied Social Geography and was a geography teacher for 25 years. Always interested in the traditional sailing vessels of the Caribbean, he did some research on the sailing fishing boats of the ABC-islands and owned one himself. Now actively involved in weekly archaeological surveys on Curaçao.
